About Ark Exam Centre
Ilford's dedicated independent exam centre — serving private candidates and home educators since 2007.
Who we are
Ark Education Centre (trading as Ark Exam Centre) is a JCQ-approved independent exam centre based in Ilford, Essex. We hold National Centre Number 13356, and have been providing examination services to private candidates, home educators, adult learners and distance learners across East London and Essex since 2007.
We are part of the Ark Education family, operating alongside Ark Tuition — our sister tuition centre — at the same location on Ilford High Road.
What we do
We provide a professional, comfortable and regulation-compliant exam environment for candidates who cannot sit exams through a school or college. This includes:
- GCSE, IGCSE and A Level examinations
- ACCA and Pearson VUE computer-based exams
- Access arrangements for candidates with additional needs
- Supervised coursework, NEA and science practicals
- UCAS centre services for university applicants
- Post-results services including re-marks and appeals
