Results Days

Everything you need to know about receiving your GCSE and A Level results as a private candidate.

When are results released?

Results days are set nationally each year. Typically:

  • A Level results: 2nd Thursday in August
  • GCSE results: 3rd Thursday in August
  • November series results: Early January

How you receive your results

You will receive an email from us from 8.00am–8.30am on results day. A paper copy can be collected from the centre between 9.30am–3.00pm on results day — bring photographic ID.

Results are not posted. If you cannot collect in person, you must arrange an authorised representative. They must bring their own photo ID and a signed letter or email from you granting authorisation.

Certificates are issued by the awarding body and arrive at our centre several weeks after results day. We will email you when your certificate is ready. Uncollected certificates are held for 12 months before being destroyed.
