About the English Speaking endorsement
GCSE English Language includes a spoken language endorsement which does not contribute to the final grade but is reported separately on the certificate as Pass, Merit or Distinction. As a JCQ-approved centre, we can supervise and record your spoken language assessment.
What's involved
- A prepared presentation or discussion topic (chosen by the candidate)
- A question and answer session with the assessor
- Recording of the assessment for moderation purposes
- Assessment submitted to the awarding body by the centre
